Funny Baby Pacifiers

The clothing and other items you buy for your newborn will very often reflect the personality of the parents. If you are conservative people, you might not like flashy baby clothes and accessories. Bohemian moms and dads often reflect that outlook on life in how the baby is presented in public. When you select clothing and accessory items like a stroller or a pacifier for your child, in addition to providing for the baby's needs, you are making a statement to the world through the little one's possessions. There is nothing wrong with that.

In the same way, if you are parents that takes life on with a smile and enjoy the humor of life's situations, its perfectly acceptable to find ways to use humor in the things you provide to your children. Most of us have seen a baby wearing a t-shirt with a funny slogan or even seeing a stroller with a bumper sticker like "My other stroller is a Mercedes". It brings a smile to the faces of people who glance at the baby and it communicates that this will be a family where a sense of humor is a big part of life in your home.

Even the pacifier you give to your child can make a humorous statement. There are party pacifiers made to look like an animal character or some silly theme that will bring a laugh or a smile when people see the baby using that pacifier in public. But even the standard small pacifier has a little space on the handle that can be used for a message. Often parents will personalize the pacifier by using that space to have the child's name printed there. This is a great idea when you will be spending time in places where there are other moms and babies. If your pacifier is personalized, there is no chance you will pick up the wrong pacifier if many of them are in use and being spat on the floor of the day care. Each time the day care worker can find your baby's pacifier because it is marked as hers.

That space can also bear a humorous quip. It has to be a short message because a pacifier is a small item. But it will be seen because when people look into the stroller, the first place their eyes go to is the babies face. If the pacifier has a little joke on it like "What are you looking at?" that can get a real laugh when another parent sees that at the park or at playgroup.

Of course, you will be careful even when finding humorous pacifiers to be sure to buy a top quality unit that meets the needs of your baby. The humorous pacifier might become part of your "going out clothes" so it doesn’t get as much use at home. But as long as you are tasteful and let the humor reflect your outlook on life, a little humor even on the simple device like a pacifier can bring a smile to a friend or relative which is always pleasant to see happen.
